The aim of this practice is to help you maintain a high standard of dental health and we will work hard to do this.

The NHS provides all treatment necessary to secure and maintain your oral health, however there are some treatments which are not available under the NHS and you may choose to have these done privately. We try to accommodate everyone and if you have any special needs, i.e. don't tip back the chair, or a fear of injections, we can usually find a way round your problem.

Cosmetic and Advanced Treatment.

Dental treatment has advanced tremendously over the years. Many exciting new treatments can now be carried out.

White Fillings

Available in a multitude of shades, the closest possible match to your natural teeth.

White Inlays

Inlays are fillings precision made in the laboratory and then cemented into the tooth. They are stronger than simple white fillings.

Crowns

A crown or 'cap' is a hand made thimble of gold and/or porcelain which is cemented over a specially prepared natural tooth, can restore or perfect the appearance of a stained and broken tooth.

Bridges

A bridge is a dummy tooth suspended from crowns. It can be used instead of a denture to replace a missing tooth and is fixed in place permanently.

Bonding

White composite material can be bonded onto misshapen teeth to restore their appearance. Often no drilling or injection is required. Much cheaper than a crown and easy to fabricate. The benefits can be amazing.

Veneers

Thin hand-made slivers of porcelain adhere to the front of a tooth to restore the appearance. A bit like a set of false fingernails.

Protective Sealants

Protective coatings applied to the surface of the tooth to prevent decay. These may be provided on the NHS to children where approptiate and some adults.

Dentures

Private dentures take a lot longer to make than NHS counterparts but the results are well worth the expense. Hand crafted private dentures can be arranged in an irregular pattern to simulate the appearance of natural teeth. Superior teeth and materials are used for strenght and aesthetics.

Sedations

Intravenous (placed in a vein in the arm or the hand) and relative analgesic (happy gas) are both available for the highly anxious patient.

Tooth Whitening

A procedure to whiten natural teeth using a peroxide gel.
